To allow or to block access to any software in AVAST, do the following:
- Open the AVAST antivirus on your computer from the desktop icon or from the taskbar.
- Go to its Control Panel window and select “Firewall” icon to view the Firewall screen.
- To stop the AVAST activity of blocking the software in the future without taking your approval, select Change in the Firewall Mode section.
- Move to Interactive mode option and then click Apply.
- Now, you have to click on OK button.
- Once you select this option, this will allow you to allow or block new software.
- Move to Settings button and then click Application tab.
- A list of all the installed application will appear on the screen. This list can be longer depending on the number of software; scroll down the screen until you locate the software which is to be blocked.
- Select the Block icon located beside the application name in the action section and click Allow from the list to unblock the software.
- Go to Apply button to save the new settings and then OK to exit the window.
